Hi, I'm Chrystal, welcome to my website.

How I got started

I have always had a passion for art. From a very young age you could find me drawing, painting, sculpting or making crafts. I took a photoshop class my junior year of high school and fell in love with the new medium. The first assignment was to morph our faces onto an animal, with that I discovered a whole new world of endless possibilities that would allow me to express myself without the mess that comes with painting and sculpting. By the end of the year, I knew I wanted to further my studies in graphic design and eventually become a graphic designer.

Where I studied

I am currently working towards my B.A. in Art with a Graphic Design Concentration and a Business minor at Marymount Manhattan College.

Why I love what I do

There are endless reasons why I love graphic design and studio art, but to save time I'll just list the main three:

1. Art is an area in which you can never get bored because you're constantly learning. I'm always finding new and surprising ways to expand my artistic abilities. I have a lot of fun experimenting with different techniques and tools.

2. I'm not the type of person that is great with words, and art has always been there for me as a way of expressing myself when words just aren't enough.

3. I enjoy creating beauty and believe it is important to share this beauty with others. After all, to quote the great Andy Warhol, "'Earth' without 'art' is just 'eh'."
